Piper airplane partsPiper PA-28 Piper airplane parts

New Piper Aircraft currently manufactures three different airplanes to be used primarily by flight schools for the training of its students. Falling under the umbrella of PA-28 are two of them; the Warrior III, and the Arrow. Both airplanes are four-seat models and have single engines.
There have been many variants of the PA-28 since its inception. Commonly known as a Cherokee, the first model, “Archer,” flew in 1960. A successor to the PA-22 “Tri-Pacer,” production of the Archer ensued the following year and was offered with either 152 or 162 horsepower engine models. The current Archer variant, Archer III was introduced in 1994. While used by some as a trainer plane, the Archer III is primarily used for business and pleasure.
In 1967, the 180 horsepower Arrow introduced retractable landing gear. Other best selling airplanes of the day, such as the Cessna 150 and Cessna 152 used a tricycle landing gear.
Other variants of the Cherokee PA-28 have had engines ranging from 140 horsepower to 235 horsepower.
Piper's newest trainer, the Warrior III, was introduced in 1995 with the reorganization of Piper into the New Piper Aircraft. It is powered by a 160 horsepower Lycoming engine. With a wing span of 35 feet and an overall length of 23 feet, the Warrior III weighs 1350 pounds when empty.
A little more powerful than the Warrior III, and considered a step up in quality and luxury, the PA-28 Arrow today utilizes a 200 horsepower engine. Designed to compete with the Cessna 172 Skyhawk , the four-seat Piper PA-28 Arrow has a wing area of 170 square feet. It has a baggage capacity of 200 pounds. The Arrow holds up to 77 gallons of fuel.
The Piper Arrow has been an industry standard for over thirty years.
