Recently I started another season coaching my oldest daughter and her soccer team. She is still young enough to play in a coed league. This will change shortly.
One of my assistant coaches brought along his older son to the practice, as a tag along. It was towards the end of practice, I was in goal, as I wanted to see first-hand what kind of shot my players possessed. The assistant coach encouraged the boy onto the field, and to even take shots on the goal.
"Come on, you can put it past him, he's an old man," said my helper as the boy launched shot after shot on goal. I chose to be bemused by the comment, rather than to be annoyed by it. The boy wasn't able to put the ball past me beforehand; now with the gauntlet thrown down, there was no way anything was going past me.
My interest piqued as my daughter immediately walked over to the assistant coach and got in his face. "You know, Coach knows just about everything," she said as she defended her father.
The smile stayed on my face for quite awhile as the moment lives on in my mind. And in my daughter's eyes, at least for an instant, I know everything and can do no wrong.
But as owner of this company, I know that I do not know everything. We try to surround ourselves by the best personnel possible. We have people who have worked in the Aerospace and Defense industries for years. And people with electronics backgrounds. And Software designers. And programmers. Sometimes I don't see the difference between the two. The IT people seem to come and go. And then there's SEO - Search Engine Optimization people. We might finally seem to have people in that department that might really be on the up and up. Time will tell. And Advertising. And of course the people who interact with you, the customer, our Customer Service Department. The quality of the people throughout has created the possibilities for a quality organization.
Nevertheless, mistakes have been made. The key is to learn from our errors and to not repeat them. The personnel mentioned above are bright and have had successes elsewhere and are now bringing their experiences to AEROLOCATOR.COM. Some people have been newly hired and are growing with the company. We want to be the ones to bring you the information necessary for you to succeed. We want to achieve success together with you. As this organization rapidly grows, we are never too big to hear from our customers. We always value your input and opinions. May we prosper together in the upcoming year.
